Kate Pyontek is writer, editor, and teacher. Kate has received fellowships from Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts and the Ellis-Beauregard Foundation, and is an alumnus of the Kenyon Review Writers Workshop and the Tin House Winter Workshop. Kate works in journalism and content covering topics including science, culture, and travel.

Kate's poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Poetry, Ecotone, the lickety~split, Four Way Review, and elsewhere. Kate is currently working on a novel.

Kate holds a BA in History and Comparative Literature, a BS in Computer Science, and an MFA in Creative Writing. Originally from New Jersey, Kate now lives in coastal Maine.
