Kate Pyontek is writer, editor, and teacher. Kate has received fellowships from Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts and the Ellis-Beauregard Foundation, and is an alumnus of the Kenyon Review Writers Workshop and the Tin House Winter Workshop. They hold a BA in Comparative Literature and History, a BS in Computer Science, and an MFA in Creative Writing. Originally from New Jersey, Kate currently lives in coastal Maine.

Kate's poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Poetry, Ecotone, Southeast Review, the lickety~split, Four Way Review, and elsewhere. Kate is currently working on a novel.
