Kate Pyontek is writer, editor, and teacher. Kate has received fellowships from Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts and the Ellis-Beauregard Foundation, and is an alumnus of the Kenyon Review Writers Workshop and the Tin House Winter Workshop. They hold a BA in History and Comparative Literature, a BS in Computer Science, and an MFA in Creative Writing. Kate works freelance as a writer and editor covering topics including science, culture, and travel. Originally from New Jersey, Kate now lives in coastal Maine.
Kate's poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Poetry, Ecotone, the lickety~split, Four Way Review, and elsewhere. Kate is currently working on a novel.
